Grosvenor Bridge has been painted in acrylics by the very talented Mike Hayes. The size of this piece is 30cm x 19cm, however in its current frame & mount is 49cm x 38cm (other frames & mounts are available from our bespoke framing service).
When Princess Victoria opened the bridge in October 1832 it was the largest stone built single span bridge in the world (200ft). Built by Thomas Harrison who also remodelled Chester Castle at this time. It is a testament to it’s engineering that a bridge built for the horses can now handle today’s heavy load vehicles.
We are proud to be showcasing this piece online at Silver Star, and we love to be able to give local artists a platform that allows them to become well known as artists.
This piece does come framed, however if you would like to have this product framed in a different frame or even a product of your own framed, we are happy to provide framing from our in house framing service that offers a wide range of frames, and there are a number of different frames to choose from in store, and if you come into the gallery we also have a brochure and a range of mouldings for you to see. If you would like the framing done there and then, we offer a quick service, all you have to do is have a quick wonder around Chester and your product will be framed before you know it!
