First Snow is another one from Mike Hayes painted using acrylics and is of a view from Seathwaite, in the Borrowdale valley, Lake District of Cumbria. Seathwaite has become one of the most popular starting points for walking in the UK since it gives access to well-known mountains such as Scafell Pike, Great Gable and Glaramara. This piece shows the 2948FT mountain in late October just as the top was dusted in the “First Snow” of the season. Silver Star Gallery are very pleased to have this beautiful painting on display in our Chester gallery. The size of the actual painting itself is 42cm x 32cm but in its current wooden frame & mount measures 60cm x 50cm.
We are proud to be showcasing this piece online at Silver Star, and we love to be able to give local artists a platform that allows them to become well known as artists.
This piece does come framed, however if you would like to have this product framed in a different frame or even a product of your own framed, we are happy to provide framing from our in house framing service that offers a wide range of frames, and there are a number of different frames to choose from in store, and if you come into the gallery we also have a brochure and a range of mouldings for you to see.
